Cancellation Policy: Trade Shows
The Agri-Food Export Group Québec–Canada is a non-profit organization (NPO) which manages export assistance programs on behalf of the Québec Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada..
As a manager for these government programs, the Group has established a general policy to govern participation in trade shows. Here are the details:
Once a representative of an enterprise signs a trade show participation form, the enterprise has entered into a contract with the Group.
- Within five days of registration, the enterprise must remit 50% of the participation fees. This may be paid by cheque or credit card to the Group’s Accounting department, which may be reached at 450- 461-6266, extension 207.
- The remaining 50% of the trade show fees are due 60 days prior to the event.
- If the enterprise does not comply with this requirement, the Group reserves the right to cancel its participation in the event.
- In the event that the enterprise cancels participation:
• If the enterprise or the Group finds a replacement, the enterprise will be reimbursed 100% of the fees, less administration costs of $200.00, after the replacement pays the amount due.
• If neither the enterprise nor the Group finds a replacement, the enterprise is responsible for the total amount agreed to in the contract.
• All cancellation requests must be made in writing, and sent to the person in charge of the trade show. His or her name will appear on the participation form.
