What does the Agri-Food Export Group Québec-Canada stands for? The Agri-Food Export Group Québec-Canada is the largest association of agri-food exporters in Canada. The association, a partner and shareholder in the Salon International de l'Alimentation de Montréal (SIAL), works with several hundred agri-food exporting companies; experienced manufacturers whose products are often internationally renowned. The Agri-Food Export Group offers members a large variety of export assistance services and products: thanks to its partnership with, among others, “Le Ministère de l’Agriculture, Pêcheries et Alimentation du Québec”, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, SGF Soquia, the National Bank and Export Development Canada. Tell us about your expectations and needs at any time! Our goal is to help you sell your products abroad effectively! How do I become a member of the Agri-Food Export Group? To become a member, all you have to do is fill out the membership form. Information from the form will be used to complete the information page for your company in the membership directory available on this website, as well as in our printed directorie. To obtain a form, please call us at (450) 461-6266 extension 201 or 1-800-563-9767. What are the primary international markets for the Agri-Food Export Group? Our primary markets reflect our member’s activities. For instance, the following markets have high priority: United States, Mexico, France, United Kingdom, Germany and Japan. Of course, our members export to every continent. We are open to learn more about other regions and have contacts in all countries that have a Canadian embassy or a Quebec delegation. I have a contact abroad who would be interested in Quebec products such as peanuts, fruit juices, canned vegetables, chicken (etc.); how can I obtain a list of exporters of these products? You can find many Quebec producers/manufacturers interested in exporting such products in our membership directory. The directory is accessible through our website www.groupexport.ca. Just click on "SEARCH (Member companies and/or products)", then select a product category or simply enter the product you want to search (e.g. chicken). You will obtain a list of companies offering the product. Click on the name of the company to get a description of it, the products it offers, the name of the contact person and the contact information. I am about to complete a sale abroad, but first I would like to check on the creditworthiness of my client; can Export Group do this for me? The Agri-Food Export Group does not do credit checks on site, but we can put you in touch with specialists in this field: account receivable insurance, client accounts insurance, legal services, factoring, etc. Our membership directory on our website www.groupexport.ca offers numerous contacts in this field. Just click on "SEARCH (Member companies and/or products)", then select a service category or simply enter the service you want to search (e.g. insurance). Click on the name of the company to get a description of it, the services it offers, the name of the contact person and the contact information. I do not wish to become an Export Group member, but I would like to be informed regularly about the activities and training programs of the association. Is that possible? All you have to do is contact us. We will be pleased to add your information to our data base. You will receive invitations and communiqués by e-mail on a regular basis. I am a consultant specializing in market studies for the agri-food sector. My services could be of interest to you or your members. I would also like to get a list of contacts. Is this possible? By becoming an Agri-Food Export Group service member you will have high visibility with our members. Your company will have an information page in our annual directory (distributed to trade officials at embassies and delegations abroad) and accessible through our website. The directory is often used by manufacturers/exporters since it contains a wealth of useful information. In addition, the activities organized by Agri-Food Export Group are an excellent opportunity to network with people in the industry. However, we do not provide contact lists (for mailings).
